Due in for sale a very nice 1966 1800S, details and images to follow.....

FOR SALE (UK):

Straight original cars with low mileage (42k) are becoming hard to find. We are pleased therefore to be able to offer for sale 1969 Volvo 1800S finished in red with black interior. This is one of the last hundred carburettor models and has the B20 2litre engine that was fitted for 1 year only. The drive and performance, when compared to standard p1800, can be really felt. Bodywork all good with straight panel fit. One small area where rear mudflap attaches shows slight bubbling. Chrome work is good but bumpers show slight pitting and there are minor indentations on near side strip. Interior is clean and tidy with original front seats showing age. Again, these are minor defects in what is a very clean vehicle that drives well and comes with history.

FOR SALE (UK):

1970 1800E (carb conversion) : Extensively restored over a 9 year period costing £51,000. Restoration included fabrication and welding to wings, wheel arches, floor pan and body panels. The steering was also overhauled and a new braking system was fitted along with an unleaded head, alternator, battery and fuel tank. The problematic fuel injection system was replaced with refurbished SU carbs and new inlet and exhaust manifolds. Further work included a bare metal re-spray with new windscreens and front grill, and all other bright work either replaced or re-chromed. An internal refit included replacing many switches and electrical components. Fitting refurbished speedo, steering wheel and clock. Adding new carpets, door cards and re-upholstered seats. Installing a custom made set of inertia seat belts which still use the original type centre receiver. Fitting a period radio which was converted to stereo and blue – tooth for phone calls and music streaming. This September the car took part in the Goodwood Alpenfahrt European tour and a few enhancements were added to the car for this. These included speed sensitive power steering and uprated suspension from P1800 performance guru John Parker. Since returning from the tour the car has been thoroughly serviced with the carbs balanced, tappets adjusted, new sparks plug, points, oil and filters, etc., etc. and runs like a dream. The restoration undertaken on this car has been carried out by P1800 Specialists Templar & Wilde who have sympathetically restored the car to a very high standard. Whilst a few components have been updated the car still holds on to its originality, has a lovely patina, is safe, extremely comfortable, handles like a dream and is probably one of the very best driving P1800’s available. I’ve compiled and extensive folder on the car with lots of history pictures and receipts. The car looks stunning finished in Rosso red with original very rare ivory interior.
