SOLD 1967 1800S just out of long term ownership (over 25 years) and ready for sale after some minor works. Overall a good useable very solid car with room for improvement. Some rust present in lower front and rear panels but overall very sound (sills are good plus the under radiator crossmember is solid). Drivers doors has issues with gapping at front edge. Splashguards are missing but heavy underseal in the void. Bootlid rear edge poor but another bootlid available to purchaser. Interior original but with recent grey carpets. Dashboard has cracks above binacle and silver section has marks. Webasto style sunroof in good condition and works fine. Drives very well but engine may need work in the future due to oil leaks. B20 engine fitted sometime in the past. Huge file of invoices and old MOT's. History shows new overdrive unit fitted plus chassis and floor welding by Amazon Restorations. 

Registration PHX 898E: MOT'd until 17th May 2024 but exempt anyway.

Excellent condition 1968 1800S with power steering, DAB radio, unleaded cylinder head and wood rim steering wheel. TV star car from Wheeler Dealers in 2010, restored by us in 2016 and now back with us for us to find a new custodian.

Restoration involved a glass out repaint and all rust sections cut out and replaced (three part sills, lower rear wings, front nose section etc), see workshop page 2016-2017 for images. New chrome bumpers were also fitted at the time together with the Minilite alloy wheels it currently has now. 

Huge history file with all bills included. This special 1800S is faultless.

1968 1800S: Eyecatching in its dark blue paint scheme usually found on the Volvo Amazon this is a great get in and drive 1800S. New leather front seats and new red carpets. This 1971 1800e was originally sold in Japan and has avoided the usual rust demon ‘above and below’. The history file includes its Japanese service records.

The car was imported to the UK around 10 years ago and was significantly restored. Large sums were spent on it before the current owner bought it about 5 years ago and the current owner has spent at least £20,000 more on it since in the form of; refurbishing the original wheels, refurbishing the injection system (with new loom and various sensors) ensuring the existing paintwork is high quality, renovating the interior (including new carpets, door cards and a stitched leather dash top and bottom) and floor pan (which is painted and looks like new if you lift the carpets) and installing new Bilstein shocks and springs. All of the instruments have been refurbished and work (even the clock!). The original kmh speedo was replaced/re-calibrated with a mph speedo about 7 years ago but the original speedo is available with the car. The mileage is believed to be around 75,000. Other attributes are: stainless steel exhaust, stainless steel bumpers and ready to be enjoyed.

This car has been serviced by us and Amazon Cars over the last 5 years and is one of the best 1800e cars that we have seen in recent years. To get most 1800e cars up to this standard would cost far more than the asking price of £35,000. This car is a joy to drive.

1967, this really is a jump in and drive 1800S, looks fantastic and is in excellent mechanical condition as it has completed the Peking to Paris Rally, bodywork very original, very nice paintwork and only showing two very small rust sections at base or rear wings (these areas can be attended to in house). Engine rebuilt since the 2007 event and drives very well. ES seats fitted for safety reasons on the Peking Rally, we can assist with original type.
